You've got the leadership. What's the worst that could happen?

Quite a lot, actually.

Join us to practice the worst-case scenarios before they happen. Facilitation Fight Lab (for group situations) alternates weeks with Fight Labs (for 1:1 situations).
You can sign up for either event, and as many as you want. Sessions are FREE, every Friday at 12 pm CT.

What is Facilitation Fight Lab?

We all face fears that can prevent us from facilitating or leading certain groups. Whether it's:

  • An overtalker who dominates discussions
  • Conflicts between participants
  • A charismatic individual who steals the leadership
  • Someone who presents a trauma you’re not equipped to handle or haven’t gone through
  • A group that begins to polarize around gender, social, or racial issues

...these situations can quickly escalate, and lead to chaos within a group.

So, what can you do when faced with these challenges? How can you respond to pressure-cooker situations without causing a meltdown, or reacting indecisively?

Join us for a Facilitation Fight Lab, where we’ll confront these situations head-on.

What to expect:
You’ll have the opportunity to simulate your facilitation fears in a small group, and receive support in working through them.

What is Fight Lab?

Most of our work, family, and social lives are spent minimizing and avoiding disputes, fights, and collisions in their many forms. We don’t talk enough about how to harness that intensity for mutual benefit.

Fight Lab was born of a need to practice conflicts before they happen, or re-play them to understand what we could do differently. We need spaces to hone the many tools we have for inviting, leveraging, and negotiating dissonance. Here, we can workshop conflicts while remaining on the “same team”.

What to expect:
In Fight Lab, we simulate difficult conversations and work through them together. Bring a 1:1 or 1:2 interaction that you have struggled with, or are anticipating struggling with, and we’ll choose one to work with in the group.

Want to see how it works?

Watch our student Ruben Cantu facilitate a difficult corporate group using Block Ops, an exercise where you get to work through all your biggest facilitation fears (with feedback, of course!)

Remember, the first rule of Fight Lab is: We talk about Fight Lab. So, invite your friends, family, and facilitator colleagues to join us. Don’t let your fears hold you back from facilitating phenomenal groups.
